Walking Tour: Old Cotuitport
Saturday, May 28: 10 AM, tour lasts approximately one hour
THE WALK IS STILL ON FOR SATURDAY! SEE ALL REGISTRANTS AT 10 AM AT LOWELL PARK.
Details: This tour will cover dozens of historic sites in the one and a half block area around Lowell Park that was originally known as Cotuitport. Learn about some favorite places, people, and houses that date back as far as 1783.
Meeting Place: Meet at Lowell Park, 10 Lowell Ave, Cotuit
Walking Tour: Cotuit High Ground
Sunday, June 12: 10 AM, tour lasts approximately one hour
Details: This easy one-mile tour, will feature anecdotes concerning some 40 structures on Main Street and Ocean View Avenue. Almost entirely residential now, the area was once Cotuit’s central business district. This section of Cotuit is also known for having an exceptional number of homes with Mansard roofs.
Meeting Place: Historical Society of Santuit & Cotuit, 1184 Main Street, Cotuit. Meet outside the Samuel B. Dottridge Homestead.

Details:
Local historian Tommy Burgess will lead an easy one-mile walking tour
of Cotuit Center, where almost every structure has a fascinating story!
The tour covers some 40 locations on Main Street and Ocean View Avenue.
Bring a camera and some water, if you like. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes!
