Preserving Cotuit's Heritage
The Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit is the only organization focused expressly on preserving Cotuit history. Preservation is an ongoing process, so we continuously collect, catalog and preserve historical documents relating to life in Cotuit and Santuit.
It’s not unusual for local residents and business owners to chance upon items, documents, photos and artwork that may hold historic value. Although HSSC is selective about what is accepted due to mission and space constraints, we urge you to contact
our Administrator,/Curator, Cindy Nickerson, at info@cotuithistoricalsociety,org; or call her at (508) 428-0461 for more information.

Historical Narratives
Our Archive's greatest value lies in its ability to offer primary sources—eyewitness accounts and intimate personal observations of events and time periods free from interpretation by historians and authors. Each primary source offers a unique, original perspective.
Do you know someone who has interesting stories to tell of Cotuit's past? We would love to hear from them and perhaps record their stories for future reference as part of our ongoing Historical Narratives project. Please call or email us. |
